What is your biggest joy when traveling? Mine is to stay in beautiful accommodation. To many people, a room is just a place to sleep or simply a place to keep belongings. To me, a hotel room is where I relax and rest after a long day discovering a new destination. That’s why whenever I plan my trip, I usually take my time reading reviews before making a final decision.

Nha Trang is a coastal city I have traveled to many times with my family. The magnificent scenery of the white sand beaches and aqua ocean, and even the delicious food makes this city a beautiful destination of Vietnam. But the amazing hostel, hotel, and resort options convince me to keep coming back. Here is a list of accommodations I love in Nha Trang starting from low budget stays to high-end hotels and resorts!

Best Budget Accommodation

1. Tabalo Hostel

Hidden in a wide and quiet alley on Nguyen Thien Thuat street, Tabalo Hostel gives you a cozy feeling at first glance. Inspired by a boat cabin, Tabalo Hostel has done an excellent job maximizing space by lofting the bed above the toilet or the mini living-room. The interior materials are made of wood or laminate wood, which gives the room an elegant and modern touch. Every private bedroom is equipped with a comfortable mattress, wardrobe, fridge, and an extra bed upon request. Also, a cute lounge area and bathroom give this hostel that extra touch.

There are three types of dormitory available at Tabalo Hostel, a four-bed mixed cabin, a four-bed female cabin, and a two-bed mix cabin. Each room has bunk beds, private lockers, and fresh towels. The hostel is just 400 meters away from the bustling night market and it only takes you a few steps to get to the beach. This hotel is a perfect choice whether you’re traveling alone or with a group of friends.

2. Ccasa Hostel

A shipping container turned creative nest, this hostel is for creative people looking to find a unique place to live in. If the boat deck-like beds of Tabalo make you feel like a sailor, the dormitory rooms of Ccasa Hostel are inspired by train cabins. There are ten rooms with 44 beds in total, each room is equipped with air-conditioners, lockers, outlets, and reading lights. Every bed has a curtain in an elegant color, for those of you who don’t feel comfortable showing the world your sleeping face. The owner divided the ten rooms into three types of cabin. The ground floor has three rooms each with six beds, the second floor has seven rooms; four of them have four beds and three rooms are mixed.

This hostel isn’t just for sleeping, Ccasa is also a place comfortable for hanging out and taking a rest. There is an open space with many tables, chairs, and even a bar. You can visit to meet up with other travelers and enjoy the atmosphere as you take cover from the heat. In case you want to throw a grilled seafood bash, there is a barbeque section in the common area as well!

What I like most about this hostel are the hammocks on the top floor. Instead of using a normal hammock that vendors sell you in front of Ben Thanh market in Saigon, the architect constructed one large hammock on top of the building, suspended across the light well. There you can spend a personal day just taking a nap, sunbathing, or reading a good book.

Last but not least, Ccasa Hostel is just 200 meters from the seashore so you can jump into the water whenever you want. However, it will take you about 15 minutes to travel to the very center of Nha Trang to see the night market. But taxis in Nha Trang are quite cheap, hence, you should consider taking a cab or driving a bike to town.

3. S: House Homestay  

Do you look for stays with elegant architecture? Then book with S: House Homestay. This newly launched homestay is so bright and lovely that it quickly became an ideal place to stay for the Vietnamese youth in many other places of Vietnam. The owner must have a good taste in art and aesthetic. The white painted walls of the room call attention to the colorful furniture as a part of the decoration.

S: House Homestay has three types of rooms, deluxe double bedroom for two people, deluxe quadruple for four people, and dormitory style rooms. The only negative feature is that you will have to share a bathroom with others. However, it also has an interesting feature that distinguishes it from the rest: a rentable studio by the hour where people can snap photos or artists can film their next music video.

The owners explain that the letter S: in the name of this homestay stands for Smile and Simple. S is also interestingly the shape of Vietnam with the colon representing Hoang Sa and Truong Sa Island. Every small corner in this homestay is well cared for in detail, this together with smiling staff makes this a top pick. You should feel as though you are at home, here in our Vietnam.

There is even a garden! It’s a great place to relax among the many different kinds of flowers and plants. The boss also has two cute house cats that you can pet (or ignore).

This homestay is located about 2.5 kilometers away from the beach. You can either walk there for 30 minutes or hop in a cab for a nine-minute drive to the sea.

4. Kokoro Home

If you search for Kokoro Home Nha Trang on the internet, you will see many pictures of travelers having fun at a party. Yep! This place is a typical party hostel for those travelers looking for a playful and sociable atmosphere.

You might find that the mattress in the dormitory room is not super comfortable compared to the other properties I mentioned in this article. However, with tipsy souls, all you need is somewhere to rest your back after a long night full of activities. The free breakfast here is good and even better after a slow morning waking up!

The highlight of this hostel is definitely the nightlife. Every night on the front yard of Kokoro Home, the fellow backpackers gather together to drink and dance to the music. Thanks to a happy hour promotion, in which you can get free-flow beer for an hour, people come together to have a good time. As this is a backpacker hostel, the food and drinks are also cheap, so you don’t have to worry about going broke after a long night!

The hostel also offers some fun entertainment. The Escape mobile game addicts will feel more than satisfied staying at this hotel because they have a real Escape room! Entrance tickets are available starting at 5 USD for one hour. In addition, this hostel has a movie room with many bean bags and a projector with a Netflix account.

Finally, this hostel has a very good location, only five minutes away from the awesome Pham Van Dong Beach. Ooh la la! This is life in tropical paradise!

5. Megi Home Nha Trang

It’s the name that says it all. The homie environment of Megi Homestay captures the heart of past guests, making them remember their great memories and encouraging them to return. This property has a simple and rustic style. By choosing the bright and soft colors like pastel to paint the house, the owner cleverly adds a homey touch.

This house has two floors with three light-filled and convenient rooms. Each room has a different design, all cute and comfortable. The bed in every room is soft and so comfortable that it makes you want to sleep in all day.

You can find the lovely kitchen on the ground floor. The owner has already prepared kitchen utensils and spices so that you can cook a meal at home. The ceramic bowls and plates make your meal look even more eye-catching, a little reminder of home.

Megi Homestay offers a free shuttle bus from and to Cam Ranh Airport. If you fly to Nha Trang, don’t forget to inform the owner. The homestay is located on Nguyen Thien Thuat street, which takes you only five minutes walking to Tran Phu Beach. There is also a motorbike rental service for 6 USD dollars a day in case you wish to get around by motorbike.

This homestay is suitable for group travel since they only lease the whole building! It can host six to eight people. However, you will have to pay an extra charge of 10 USD per person for the seventh guest.
