Phú Quốc is a large Vietnamese island off the coast of Vietnam in the Gulf of Thailand. The island is famous for its fish sauce, pepper, seafood, white sand beaches, and 5 star luxury accommodation. More than fifty percent of the island’s landmass is part of a national park, a UNESCO Biosphere protected area, featuring lush jungles, rugged mountains, and plethora of wildlife.

Current the island has a theme park, zoo, numerous 5 star resorts, and there are plans for a grand casino in the works. Back in 1907 things were a lot different.
